Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Information Governance will be a member of Visa’s Global Privacy Office and the Information Governance team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Governance, you will assist in driving the execution of the Information Governance programs.  Additionally, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day privacy and information governance support to a cross-functional group of stakeholders driving Visa’s business growth and digital innovation strategy.

Responsibilities

 

  • Execute procedures for PIAs/ DPIAs; act as privacy partner for PIAs/ DPIAs; risk assess PIAs/ DPIAs

  • Collaborate in development and maintenance of data inventory, data mapping procedures and artifacts

  • Advise the business on rules for sharing data including among Visa teams and 3rd parties

  • Advise the business on rules for internal staff including who has access to PI, how PI is accessed, and exceptions (e.g., least privilege)

  • Support Privacy-by-Design (PbD) education and execution; helping to embed PbD into the Development Process

  • Support the privacy engineering program, aligning with security architects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Political Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college/university with strong academic credentials

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Information Security, Big Data, Legal, Risk, Compliance and/or related field. Experience with implementing controls in product development or technical design preferred.

  • Background and knowledge of some or all of the following: the payment services industry and related credit and debit processing industries, banking and financial institutions laws and regulations preferred

  • CIPP/CIPT/CIPM Certification or willingness to complete certification within 18 months of starting

  • Experience with privacy regulatory requirements and compliance issues in at least one of the following areas: PCI/GLBA, GDPR/EU Data Protection Directive, US State Privacy Laws, or other international privacy/data protection regulations and requirements preferred

  • Knowledge of third party risk management considerations

  • Versatility, ability to prioritize and handle a large number of matters

  • Strong people skills with proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients and work on cross-functional teams on complex issues
