Organization

Visa’s Global Network Processing Products organization has overall business responsibility for growing network processing on VisaNet globally. The Data and Analytics team is responsible for overall business management and finance, data & analytics, processing rules & monitoring, and global program management.  The team has deep processing knowledge and access to data to identify trends and changes to trends in all geographies to help develop processing / business strategies and aid in decision support.  The Data and Analytics team helps forecast and to set and manage to key processing metrics for Visa as a whole, as well as for all key geographies.

Job Description

The Analyst, Global Network Processing Products, will be a member of the Data and Analytics team.  This position will provide the analytical, reporting, billing, and program management support needed to implement key network processing initiatives globally.  The successful candidate will be highly organized and will display a high level of curiosity as well as the ability to excel in both a structured and an unstructured environment.  Significant portions of this role are structured and predictable, such as monthly manual billing and reporting to clients.  However, other parts are unpredictable and unstructured, requiring flexibility and critical thinking that leads to creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis of business metrics, portfolio level performance/penetration, pricing, and client characteristics to identify areas where processing behaviors are changing or are at risk of changing

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business management or a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • Detail-oriented, self-starting, quick study able to become productive in a relatively short time frame.

  • Analytical, fact-based and able to query/organize data, draw insights/conclusions and package the results into understandable/useful information.

  • Able to work independently and effectively manage one’s time within a complex and often ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to excel in both structured and unstructured environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel features (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup and array formulas).

  • Ability to build models and forecasts for business decision-making using Excel.

  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Office products including Access and PowerPoint a plus.

  • Knowledge of MicroStrategy and Tableau or similar tools a plus.

  • Working knowledge of payments industry or VisaNet processing a plus.

  • Global/multi-national company exposure a plus.

Additional Information

Essential Functions 

  • Execute processes that populate and produce monthly and quarterly dashboards

  • Manage processing related programs as needed

  • Execute monthly manual billing processes and produce reports for clients in support of key global processing strategies

  • Perform ad hoc analysis of market behavior to inform specific processing strategies and initiatives

  • Provide thought partnership in the area of business metric development

  • Build economic models to support business decisions

 

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

Less than 5% travel required

Incumbent must make themselves available onsite during core business hours
