Job Description

CyberSource is launching innovative new products in the payment space and partners with merchant acquirers around the globe to provide integrated merchant acceptance solutions to merchants of all sizes. Increasingly this payment acceptance is through technology platforms and the integration of their software with the CyberSource payments platform.

The Product Lead is a senior product manager who will have the responsibility to define and drive the product roadmap for one of our major global initiatives, whilst ensuring the products expand and evolve as best-in-class payment capabilities, aligned with our overall product strategy.  The Product Lead will curate the initiative-driven product set and deliver on an outcome-based roadmap, coordinating with the individual product managers, partner teams, support, architecture and other work stream leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop with product leadership team, an Initiative Product Roadmap in alignment with business strategy and goals

  • Engage with key partners and initiative work stream leads, including account management, to understand the initiative’s business and technical requirements and use cases

  • Define and communicate the product objectives and key results for the initiative

  • Collaborate with product managers to ensure the initiative’s product goals are aligned and incorporated into the individual product roadmaps.

  • Evolve the current product portfolio in order to drive platform innovation and competitive differentiation to protect and grow revenue

  • Collaborate with product development engineering and program management organizations to ensure product requirements are translated into working software following the agile process, in a timely manner

  • Own and develop clear and concise product collateral in order to document the platform to inform and educate internal stakeholders and clients of its desired behavior e.g. Product Guides, Integration Guides, Release Notes

  • Voice of the Customer: Drive awareness of customer facing issues and develop strong processes to demonstrate feedback cycle being completed, in particular for your initiative

  • Evangelism: Support key client engagements (webinars, partner meetings).  Represent product vision and strategy outside the organization.  Collaborate with Visa colleagues on cross business line product initiatives and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Customer-centric mindset with a history of delivering revenue generating products at scale

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent fields

  • 7-10 years of experience in software and technology product management, including business requirements gathering, use case analysis and user story writing, competitive analysis, value proposition definition, product differentiation, cost/benefit analysis, and product commercialization

  • Must be results-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks of an urgent nature and must effectively deal with ambiguity

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization.

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of e-commerce and the payments industry

  • Ability to work with internal product development and engineering teams to deliver products on schedule and with good quality, in an agile software development environment

  • A highly analytical and structured thinker with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks and to use data to drive strategic objectives and priorities

  • Compelling verbal and written communication abilities including public speaking and evangelism

  • Proactive sense of urgency and “can do” attitude

  • More than comfortable in an ambiguous matrixed organization

  • Ability to work independently
