Job Description

Visa’s Operational Resilience team has a position available to provide global oversight of the Business Continuity Management program in the role of Senior Director.

Reporting to Sven Goedicke, the Senior Director of Business Continuity Management will lead a team of +5 professionals to oversee the annual program implementation for the Visa enterprise in accordance with FFIEC regulatory expectations. The position requires applied experience in a unique combination of varying subject matter fields including: Operational Resilience in the FinTech industry for multi-national corporations; Regulatory and Executive Stakeholder Relationship Management; and Data Analytics. The ideal candidate is a proven Resilience Professional and Technologist with a high level of personal initiative, creativity, and self-motivation.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage, lead, collaborate, and mentor +5 resources in a team based environment
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partnering groups 
  • Understand and manage the Business Continuity landscape for financial services and technology companies as it relates to regulatory oversight and best industry practices including:  Federal Financial Institution Examinations Council (FFIEC), Bank of England (BoE), Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), and, Business Continuity Institute (BCI)
  • Maturation of program including strategy, policy, and procedures
  • Implementation according to program requirements including Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plan Development, Exercise, and technology gap analysis.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness and maturity of the Business Continuity program to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. This includes working extensively with large and complex data sets in Excel, using advanced formulas and analysis

Qualifications

 

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience and Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • General understanding of business continuity planning software
  • General understanding of an emergency mass notification software
  • Applied experience in directly managing a team +2 resources for an enterprise
  • Applied experience in managing a business continuity management program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience if Bachelors/12+ years of experience with advanced degree
  • Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
  • Proficiency in O365 Suite and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams)
  • Proficiency in utilizing a business continuity planning software
  • Proficiency in utilizing an emergency mass notification software
  • Applied experience in directly managing a team +4 resources for an international enterprise
  • Applied experience in managing a business continuity management program for a FFIEC regulated company

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours and may occasionally require off-business hours’ availability.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
