Job Description
Visa’s European Hub Credit team in Products & Solutions group is responsible for driving growth and evolution of Visa’s Credit offerings in Europe, in partnership with country, regional, global and other functional Visa teams.
Credit team:
Owns the strategy and key decisions throughout the credit products development lifecycle, leveraging technical fluency and cutting edge business insights.
Oversees Visa’s European Credit product plans and roadmap, including the evolution of existing products to address customer needs, by being at the intersection of Design, Technology and Business.
Provides subject matter, expertise, insights, and recommendations on issues affecting Visa’s Credit business, and facilitate resolution where needed
Monitors global and regional credit trends, opportunities, and challenges, including competitive and regulatory landscape, and provide thought leadership to stakeholders
Identifies partners that would help further build Visa’s credit products, propositions and underlying services
Interacts on a regular basis with key stakeholders, provides relevant training to build credit acumen in the business
Ideal candidates for the role should have a broad perspective of the payments industry with experience in product management, and are inspired with the opportunity to become a subject matter expert on credit payment solutions, in the leading payments technology company of the World.
Key Accountabilities:
Become a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for all consumer credit product rules and requirements
Work alongside the Head of Credit to support the development of annual plans and the long term consumer credit strategy in the European market
Engage with external clients and collect feedback on existing and expected future features and functionality
Work cross-functionally to ensure the Global Product and Technology teams incorporate the received feedback into future product roadmap
Collaborate with the wider consumer solutions team for developing credit value proposition insights and the go-to-market strategy
Support the launch of new credit products from PoC development stage, in to pilot and commercialization, with ongoing product performance tracking, alongside other relevant Visa teams
Perform or facilitate consumer research and analysis to inform business decisions
Stay abreast of evolving payment technologies, innovations and strategic partners around credit that may accelerate speed-to-market, or enhance our existing products and solutions
Contribute to the development of new services and benefits for cardholders and issuers
- Support the consumer credit team in reporting, business tracking and competitive reviews
- Support with management, tracking and forecasting of operating budget and revenues
Assist in the development of client presentations and reports to provide updates and insights on product performance and opportunities
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or higher
Professional experience ideally at a financial institution, payment network, consulting, technology, data/research or digital company
Solid business acumen, good written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
Self-motivated, intellectually curious, results-oriented individual
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong detail orientation ensuring the highest level of rigor in reporting and data analysis
Ability to write product and business requirements including comprehensive use cases
Evidence of digital mind-set and familiarity with digital deployments (APIs, SDKs, etc.)
Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives, willingness and interest to generate new ideas and explore solutions for evolving business needs
Ability to thrive in highly collaborative, matrixed and team oriented environment.
Ability to be creative and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
