Job Description

The Associate Product Manager will be a key contributor on assigned data product apps for the Visa Global Data Products group and its new Visa Analytics Platform.  This candidate will support the evaluation of product opportunities, collaborate with the team to help define product requirements, and work with development teams to help deliver data products.  The ideal person for this role should be comfortable working on a number of activities simultaneously, willing to take on tasks as needed, be a proven self-starter and have an interest in product management.

To be successful the individual must maintain a high level of coordination and collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholder teams globally, including product management, information technology, and client support.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Data Products Product Managers and Agile scrum teams on documentation of product requirements, use cases, user acceptance test plans and release notes and implementation of features for new applications

  • Document and enter user stories in Jira and assist in story point analyses

  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of functional requirements.
  • Collect and analyze data to assist in determining product direction and define business requirements.

  • Perform user acceptance testing as needed

  • Assist in developing product pricing and positioning strategies

  • Provide support to the various customer support teams related to our suite of data products.

  • Coordinate meetings with Technology and Product resources to ensure requirements are met

  • Provide backup support to the Product Managers as needed

  • Manage small projects of minimal complexity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Engineering preferred  with 2+ years' experience in product management/development.  Payments experience a plus.

  • UI/UX background with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into creative and engaging output.

  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams

  • Recent involvement in the day-to-day tasks of the user acceptance testing process.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication and written skills to influence and instill confidence with stakeholders at all levels and in all functions/geographies

  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones across Visa’s regions.
