Job Description

Come join the HRIS team at Visa! We’re looking for an experienced HRIS professional to lead our team in setting the HRIS strategy and collaborating with key stakeholders on alignment and execution. You will help build clear system roadmaps and deliver amazing projects that make work more fun and meaningful.

 

You must have a proven background in leading complex HR technology projects globally in a large diverse organization, a passion for technical and business collaboration, and desire to help scale HR applications for a growing organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and lead a team of HRIS product managers, providing backup and stepping in when needed to: write business requirements, develop user stories, create wireframes, organize and facilitate prototype reviews and UAT, support training delivery, etc.

  • Partner with functional HR leaders to define technology strategy and build supporting roadmaps

  • Identify opportunities, create, and implement processes to improve the effectiveness of the team while driving a strong level of customer service

  • Hunt for big ideas that identify and solve important HR problems and move beyond incremental features to a complete end-to-end solution

  • Practice effective stakeholder management across all levels of the organization from senior executives to individual contributors

  • Develop short and long range operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans

  • Build business case and management budget for the department and solutions portfolio

  • Take ownership for the for the delivery of that portfolio

  • Work with IT/vendors on budget and resource estimates for all efforts ranging from large enterprise implementations to smaller features / enhancements – thoughtful, end-to-end solutions are a must

  • Use a combination of product instinct, data, and teamwork to ensure we provide well-crafted solutions that anticipate needs across HR functions, system development/IT, HR operations, and production support teams

  • Be the customer champion for HR, influencing the roadmaps of other groups at Visa to address employee needs

  • Stay current on HR technology and trends, bringing new ideas to HR

  • Drive a culture of innovation by using Design Thinking and User Centered Design principles in the day-to-day delivery of the team’s work

  • Be agile and comfortable managing through shifting priorities and competing needs

 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of recent experience in HR systems implementation and management 

  • 5+ years in a managerial role

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Thrives in nebulous and undefined situations, sorting through the ambiguity to bring clarity and develop plans of action

  • Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance business processes as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies

  • Extensive experience supporting a diverse, complex, production environment required 

  • Experience with Tier 1 HR providers (Workday, Oracle, SAP)

  • Leader in establishing best practices for information systems management and strategic planning

  • Leader in understanding and articulating technical feasibility of solutions with the ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand concepts

  • Experience setting standards for evaluating the effectiveness of HRIS team 

  • Experience working with stakeholders/partners at all levels, globally, across the organization

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking and User Centered Design Concepts
