Team Description  

The Sr. Director, Program Strategist is a member of the leadership team of the newly formed School of Digital Payments (SDP) within Visa University. The SDP is a new CEO-supported venture sitting within the Strategy organization. Our vision is to make Visa University the place everyone everywhere goes to learn about payments. We are looking for innovative intrapreneurs who are passionate about payments and the impact educating others about the industry and Visa’s place in it can have on individuals, businesses and economies globally.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and manage the School of Digital Payments high-touch programs

  • Partner with a top-tier business school to design a Certificate in Digital Payments as one of the school’s first offerings

  • Select and manage all aspects of the academic partnerships for Visa University, including defining the commercial agreements and overseeing the content development process

  • Collaborate with key Visa executives and SMEs to bring their deep expertise to bear both in the shaping of the curriculum and the teaching of the content

  • Leverage a human-centered design approach when determining what content each program should cover and how it should be delivered

  • Partner with Visa University Enablement and Market Learning teams to generate demand and operate the programs

  • Stay abreast of relevant trends in the payment industry, competitive intelligence and learning industry best practices to guide product and commercial strategies

  • Partner with the head of Visa’s Global Government Engagement team to define the learning solutions that will help educate regulators on payments so they can make informed decisions when shaping public policy that impacts our industry.

  • Work closely with the head of Market Learning to consider input from the markets and adjust product development plans accordingly.

Qualifications

Requirements 

  • MA or PhD in Instructional Design, Education or related field preferred

  • 15+ years’ experience designing successful learning programs and experiences 

  • Deep understanding of key business drivers across Visa and digital payments preferred

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Track record of managing partners in an academic organization a plus

  • Deep understanding of human-centered design, adult learning theory, and other relevant learning trends and best practices to ensure value-added solutions

  • Excellent collaboration skills with proven experience in building stakeholder trust and influencing at all levels of an organization, both cross functionally and cross culturally.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle shifting priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication required with emphasis on strong listening skills

  • Strong analytical and creative-problem solving skills a must
