Job Description

The Sr. Director leads the Business Operations team for MAPPD overseeing a number of key activities including executive and financial reporting, organizational efficiency, program auditing, annual operating plan (AOP), and partner engagements. S(he) acts as the primary liaison to the wider Visa organization for executive communications and audits (i.e., SOX, PCI/PAI, R&D credit). In coordination with the Technical PMO, s(he) oversees program financial reporting of all programs across the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring all program costs are tracked and reconciled appropriately, reporting on any exceptions against organizational commitments. S(he) also serves as the lead for vendor management and manages partner contracts including Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). The Director facilitates key MAPPD-wide events and creates key communications within MAPPD and from MAPPD to the broader Visa organization including via internal social media channels.

The position requires an experienced management professional with the executive communication skills (both written and verbal), an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, program financial reporting acumen, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment. S(he) is a program management leader who embodies Visa’s leadership principles of leading by example, communicating openly, enabling and inspiring others, excelling with partners, acting decisively, and collaborating effectively.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Communications or Business or equivalent work experience required. MBA a plus.
  • 10+  years of demonstrated experience in organizational communications, auditing, program financial reporting, vendor/contract management.
  • 5+ years managing direct reports. 
  • 10+ years relevant Program/Project Management experience.
  • Excellent prioritization, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to communicate effectively to organizational-wide audiences via multiple channels
