Job Description

Location is flexible and could be based at any of our Global Visa offices.  

Team Description 

The Senior Director, Learning Product Strategist is a member of the leadership team of the newly formed School of Digital Payments (SDP) within Visa University. The SDP is a new CEO-supported venture sitting within the Strategy organization. Our vision is to make Visa University the place everyone everywhere goes to learn about payments. We are looking for innovative intrapreneurs who are passionate about payments and the impact educating others about the industry and Visa’s place in it can have on individuals, businesses and economies globally.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop the strategic product roadmap for the School of Digital Payments

  • Leverage a human-centered design process to better understand our existing and new key external audiences and validate hypotheses of potential learning products that will help deepen partnerships with our clients, and expand access to merchants, developers, fintechs and other new partners in the payments ecosystem

    • Conduct broad discovery, including deep quantitative and qualitative analysis of our end users, and input from senior stakeholders, then synthesize learnings into concise problem or opportunity statement to ensure learning experiences we develop drive end user engagement and business results

    • Ideate solutions in partnership with the VU Productions team

    • Direct the development of learning prototypes and engage in the testing and iteration process to ensure quality products ready for launch/transition back to the Dean of SDP

  • Partner with the SDP Credential Product Strategist to determine assessment and evaluation approaches; leverage data to evolve products ensuring they remain relevant and optimized over time

  • Stay abreast of relevant trends in the payment industry, competitive intelligence and learning industry best practices to guide product and commercial strategies

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Human centered design experience required

  • MA or PhD in Instructional Design or related field preferred

  • 15+ years’ experience designing successful learning strategies and experiences 

  • Technology or digital payments industry experience preferred

  • Experience leading product development in a commercial organization preferred

  • Excellent collaboration skills with proven experience in building stakeholder trust and influencing at all levels of an organization, both cross functionally and cross culturally

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle shifting priorities and multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication required with emphasis on strong listening skills

  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills a must
