Job Description
The Director of Commercialization will be a member of Visa's North America Go-to-Market & Solutions team, which is responsible for bringing best in class product solutions to market that support Visa’s clients and market needs. The Director will be responsible for go-to-market and commercialization of Visa’s Digital Product solutions in partnership with clients, industry leading brands and technology platform providers. He/she will develop localized product and go-to-market strategies, commercial constructs (i.e. pricing, contracting), and drive large-scale cross-functional efforts, to successfully launch and bring Visa’s Digital Product solutions to scale. The Director will also be responsible for utilizing his/her deep industry, market and product expertise, to proactively educate the Visa organization on market developments, emerging themes and partnership opportunities. The position is based in either Foster City or San Francisco, California, and reports into the Head of Commercialization
Responsibilities
Define market requirements and provide feedback to global product teams
Work with global product to develop a localized view of products
Evaluate product related regulatory and operational risks, adherence to Visa Rules, and IP considerations
Develop client segmentation / targeting criteria and considerations
Create and apply best practices to create commercial constructs, terms, agreements and pricing structures
Commercialize and rollout a group of products as a “set-play “solution, to deliver even greater value for Visa’s clients
Develop pilot framework and strategy, launch communications plan and execution framework
Orchestrate cross-functional coordination to execute pilots and formal product launches, as well as to accelerate product adoption
Develop and disseminate materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on new product offerings
Leverage learnings across product launches to develop a Go-To-Market Playbook
Partner with the client solutions team for new products, pilot product introduction, exploration and interest
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience required. MBA a plus.
Product development, deployment or management consulting equivalent experience (8+ years)
Strategic thinker with superior analytical and problem solving skills
High level of comfort with developing and delivering executive communications and storylines
Experience with developing and managing a team
Payments experience preferred
Digital product experience preferred (i.e. tokens, e-commerce, m-commerce, APIs)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimal travel required
