As part of the Global Product organization, the Data Products team is looking for a product manager that is passionate about innovating and delivering differentiated data solutions across the Visa payment network. This person will be responsible working with the technology, sales, pricing and global stakeholders to building a product portfolio of new and creative data products to deliver solutions across Visa's client base globally and that will be integrated into client applications and processes. This individual will work with clients and internal experts to identify and prioritize products to develop, manage the product, execute the launch and drive product commercialization to target levels of adoption and utilization.

This is a matrixed, cross functional role so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical, as we interface with other specialized product groups, financial institution sales, client consulting, operations, technology, risk, analytics, marketing and corporate communications, to coordinate the build, launch and support of new and existing products.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the definition, design and delivery of new client-facing global data products within VisaVue Marketplace (VVM) and related applications, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Products within Analytics and Data Products.

  Lead an agile/scrum team, working closely with Global Data Products groups such as Product Marketing and Sales, as well as Technology groups on design, definition, documentation and implementation of features for VVM applications, business infrastructure, data security, and data structure

• Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases

• Create, monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of application development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes.

• Collect and analyze data to determine product direction and define business requirements. Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of functional requirements.

• Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for product offerings, working with Sales, Product Marketing and Customer Support groups

• Serve as first line in assisting Technology in the resolution of issues and roadblocks hindering product delivery.

• Assist in creating product training and documentation materials in support of the implementation and launch of VVM applications.

• Assist in developing product pricing and positioning strategies

• 7-10 years combined experience in product management, building Web-based applications, with preferably 2-3 years in payment systems and/or financial services.

• Significant experience in data and analytics areas, web and API delivered products and involvement in core product management functions including requirements, prioritization, pricing, contracts, commercialization and delivery to the market.

• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (preferably MicroStrategy, Tableau and D3) with experience analyzing data and writing queries and reports. 

• Self-starter with experience in agile methodologies and leading scrum teams.

• Experience with leading business requirements discussion, building use cases and requirements and understanding how to prioritize a product roadmap

• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results.

• Ability to work closely with other team members and key stakeholders in technology, product and the rest of the business.

• Demonstrated capabilities in technical-oriented business analysis techniques and user acceptance testing in large, complex, diversified, global organizations.

• Aptitude for understanding, digesting and analyzing complex systems integration. Ability to interpret requirement documents and update test documents accordingly.

• Comfort with SQL, Excel, Access or other common tools used for data analysis and presentation.

• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.

• Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones across Visa’s regions.
