Position Description

Issuer Processing provides support for ATM, Risk services, Debit processing, Prepaid processing, Digital Issuance Processing, Enhanced Visa Services (EVS), Visa Card Transaction Controls (VCTC), Network Gateway services, and IT sponsored efforts. The team focuses on developing solutions  that protect Visa's core business/brand, deliver cost efficiencies and increase corporate effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be part of a team to design and develop browser-based middle tier and front-end applications for the Visa Open Systems application development organization. Perform unit testing and integration testing of those applications. Interface directly with staff members of Development, Product Management, Project Management, and Quality Assurance.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Analyze and develop web applications using primarily C#, .NET 4.5+, TFS, ASP.NET and MVC.

Design, develop, document and implement new functionality, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.

Develop unit-tests and work to help implement and improve the test-driven design process.

Build and maintain relationships with global and virtual teams on software development or support issues.

Work as part of a development team and establish close working relationships with stake holders, quality assurance, architects, as well as management.

Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.

Prepare design documents; evaluate and recommend solutions to meet user requirements; define and implement solutions.

Strong communication skills with proven ability to present complex ideas and document in a clear and concise way.

Must be a self-starter and willing to take limited direction from senior staff.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field

Experience in best practices for web application development and design patterns required.

Knowledge of SQL Server, stored procedures, database design preferred.

Experience using C#, ASP.NET 4.0 and the .Net framework (versions 4.5+) preferred.

Experience with AJAX, WPF, WF, and the MVC/MVVM design pattern preferred.

Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and responsive web UI preferred.

Experience in defining remote communication methodologies such as web services, WCF, MQ, and Rest preferred.

Experience with WebAPI and REST services preferred.

Development experience in a cross-platform, multi-tier environment preferred.

Solid knowledge of the software development life cycle required.

Ability to develop code that follows established coding guidelines in a waterfall or SCRUM environment.

Multitasking between designs, development, and defect resolution.
