Job Description

Group Overview Visa's Innovation & Strategic Partnerships (I&SP) is a global client facing organization that sets Visa's public innovation agenda, develops commercial partnerships with industry leading brands and platform providers, and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to demonstrate the art of the possible for clients and partners. 
 

Position Overview:The Program Management Office for I&SP is accountable for delivery of successful commercial launches in close collaboration with our major strategic partners.  As a member of the PMO team, the Innovation Program Manager will own the entire lifecycle for specific programs and outcomes a smooth, successful launch.  S/he is responsible for working cross-functionally with development, operations, sales, marketing, finance, risk, and legal.  Some programs may require designing and building I&SP processes and portfolio governance. 

  • Work with I&SP Account Executives to structure and manage integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs that meet the business intent for Visa's most important strategic partners.

  • Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given initiative often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.

  • Responsible for early identification of issues, determining potential resolutions, assigning the appropriate resources, communicating status, tracking and resolving them in a timely manner.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders, including interactions with strategic partner executives.

  • Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on
    an overall integrated delivery plan.

  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost,
    and quality parameters.

  • Represents the project in various project governance and inter-department forums and
    publishes periodic project status reports.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors of Science degree and 12+ years of experience managing product, product development, large complex projects in a matrix organization is required.

  • Experience in working unstructured environment with evolving process and structure and a
    matrix organization is desired.

  • Experience in payment processing industry is a plus.

  • Exemplary core project management skills.

  • Must have a "Can do" attitude and does not hesitate to do what it takes to garner support in order to move a program forward.

  • Solid influencing and presentation skills and able to communicate at all levels with
    clarity and precision, both written and verbally.

  • Excellent problem-solver and critical-thinker with the ability to identify and remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.

  • Pro-active and effective at leading cross-functional teams.

  • Willing to challenge the status quo to get things done.

  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction.
