Job Description

Objectives of this Role

Plan, direct and manage the provision of accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made. Recommend remedial action when and where necessary. Safeguard company assets by creating and maintaining sound internal control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Advice on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Oversee company’s investments.
  • Analyze data and advise top management on how to maximize profits.
  • Has a good relationship with banking partners.
  • Prepare and analyze P&L statements and financial forecasting.
  • Prepare and outline complex models into simple terms that others can work with.
  • Monitor the performance of investments including creating reports using business software
  • Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investment or spending decisions.
  • Have a strong understanding of fiscal policy and investment regulations.
  • Create usable budgets for the business, including evaluating the needs of each department in the long term.
  • Offer advice to the Group CEO regarding spending and budget questions.
  • Executing company’s financial strategies.
  • Develop plans for growth to increase the company profit while reducing expenses.
  • Identifying investment opportunities and managing mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support the Group CEO to develop financial plans.
  • Manages accounting procedures.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA/CFA/CIPA//CIA/CISA qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, accounting, or above.
  • 8 – 10 years of work experience in the field of finance and accounting department.
  • Proven experience with tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation.
