Objectives of this Role

The Payroll Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness in processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll while providing superior customer service in a professional and confidential manner. Primary responsibilities will include the validation of payroll wages paid and responding to inquiries from employees and location managers as well as acting as a liaison between the Company and third party professional consultants. The Payroll Consultant position must adhere to tight deadlines and requires an exceptional ability for time management and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% error free delivery and respond to payroll related questions or issues in a timely manner
  • Execute weekly/bi-weekly / Monthly payroll preparation and distribution of client’s payroll in accordance with Labor Law regulations and policy of that country
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee resolutions
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure that a resolution is reached.
  • Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee country labor law, social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation payments.
  • Review, reconcile and balance timekeeping data designated timekeeping systems for each pay period
  • Review payroll to ensure accuracy and ensure payroll checklists and process controls are adhered to for each payroll cycle
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Complies with country, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of payroll staff
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains payroll staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Internal & External Audit requirement needs to be adhered and resolve all query raised from the stakeholders
  • Reporting the security incident in a timely manner
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience 3-5 years processing the payrolls from an HRMS system (PS, SAP, Success Factor, Workday, etc.)
  • Good in communication both verbal and written
  • Hands on experience in processing payrolls in multi-country, at least 2 of the following countries must be included;
  1. GCC Countries (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, KSA, Oman)
  2. Morocco
  3. Egypt
  4. Jordan
  5. South Africa
  6. Pakistan
  7. Algeria
  8. Kenya
  9. Ivory Coast
  10. Turkey
  11. Malaysia
  12. Iraq
  • Have worked in a payroll outsourcing company previously
  • Handle the team and train the team in a timely manner
  • Strong in Analytical skills and needs to have the flair of numbers
  • Preparing concise documentation
  • Has at least 3 successful payroll implementations in each one of the 2 countries mentioned above
  • Able to audit the payrolls processed from a payroll system.
  • Can document recurring payroll cycles in different countries, all the way from receiving input from the client to dealing with country local consultants for handling statutory filing and payment.
  • Can document country rules and regulations to be presented to clients.
  • Can document sample calculations for new countries to be implemented in the payroll system.
