Job Description

As a member of the Leadership Team, the VP of Marketing will lead all marketing strategies and initiatives across our various business lines.  This is a highly visible role working with our C-suite executives to develop the Viral Nation brand. The VP will champion innovative thinking, collaboration, and partnership. They will be an experienced and empowering mentor that contributes to a positive team culture and builds opportunities for team and individual development, recognition, and reward. They will develop and  activate brand building strategies intended to strengthen and deepen Viral Nation’s relationship with new and potential consumers through the various offerings across products and services. They will guide brand strategy, initiate and activate go to market plans, and work in collaboration with various partners on multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be a marketing leader with a deep understanding of consumer and lifestyle marketing and online behaviours in both the B2B and B2C space.


You have consistently delivered on both brand and organizational objectives, and are a leader, partner, and a player/coach.   You will develop and oversee all activities related to the development of Viral Nation’s marketing strategy in partnership with the broader marketing and sales teams.


What You Will Do:


  • Oversee the development and execution of the vision, identity, and messaging to broaden the awareness of the organization’s services and priorities across key stakeholder audiences for Viral Nation lines of business (VN Marketing, VN Talent, VN Technology)

  • Acts as a brand champion for Viral Nation, ensuring consistency in messaging for all brand touchpoints in support of Viral Nation's business goals. Strategically evolve the Viral Nation brand and creates a unifying thread across Viral’s businesses

  • Orchestrate all cross-team inputs, forums, and outputs related to strategic planning and execution for the next 12, 24, and 48 months

  • Manages competitive market, brand, and customer insights strategy and program design.

  • Define marketing and communications objectives that are aligned and in support of the mission and objectives; analyzing and interpreting information, conditions, stakeholder positions and other variables to develop a framework for communications and marketing

  • Develop new, and enhance existing processes to strengthen project management, coordination, budgeting, and effectiveness

  • Define and execute a data-driven growth strategy for acquisition, activation, expansion, and retention that consistently achieves targets through integrated, journey-aligned programs, platforms, and processes for all Viral Nation’s lines of business

  • Create and oversee ABM strategy, process and tools for long cycle targeting, account planning, content strategy, and multi-channel execution in tight collaboration with the sales organization and broader GTM team

  • Oversee campaign-aligned digital tactics including content syndication, search, display, SEO, webinars, and social

  • Lead marketing and communications measurement to demonstrate impact; report on key metrics, analyze and interpret trends; and provide actionable insights based on available data to increase effectiveness of stakeholder marketing strategies and tactics inclusive of messaging, PR, Events, Social, Website, Media Relations, Brand, Channel Strategy, CRM

  • Partner closely with the Sales and Biz Dev teams, as well as business leads across the organization

  • Produce or, if appropriate, identify and manage the process and relationship(s) with outside agencies as it relates to marketing, website and/or public relations items

  • Leading the pursuit of community and industry specific awards

  • Be an expert in managing digital and social media channels (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)

  • Manage overall marketing budget in alignment with business objectives and revenue goals

  • Implement and optimize platforms and tools for engagement, enablement, and analysis

  • Have a proven track record in brand management, digital marketing and developing and managing marketing strategies that challenge the status quo

  • Proven success in identifying target audiences and executing digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate segmented personas

  • Have worked in high-growth environments where flexibility and patience for organized chaos are key success drivers

  • A creative problem solver, having led large-scale projects with cross-functional teams

  • Articulate with a clear passion for digital marketing and brand management/engagement
