• Lead and design microservices architecture and write code for VN’s new digital platform and innovative web and mobile products, related components, and partner integrated applications.

• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one data ecosystem powered by high performing microservices.

• Develop and integrate data elements with server-side logic and, develop and integrate API with microservices data schemas and data storage solutions such as relational databases, nosql key-value stores, blob stores on distributed architectures, and graph databases.

• Write reusable, testable, robust and efficient code at high quality levels, with clear identification of security and data protection measure implementation.

• Leverage TDD and use automated testing and unit tests.

• Provide end-to-end support of software systems from design through development to deployments and maintenance.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps and Ai/Data Science teams.

• Collaborate with the product team, share feedback from project implementations and influence the product roadmap and future micro-service/monolithic architectures.

• Ensure designs and code are well documented and suitable for use by engineering teams to consume and are ready to scale.

• Be comfortable in a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, agile environment without sacrificing the quality of work products.

• Stay current with emerging web and mobile technologies and trends.

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 2+ years of experience as a python or backend developer.

• Exceptional knowledge of Django Python, event-driven programming in Python, and highly proficient understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture

• Experience with ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries

• Understanding of front-end, back-end and service-side CSS preprocessors, templating languages and excellent knowledge of building user experiences using reusable components/libraries/frameworks such as Node.js, React.js, React Native, Typescript, JavaScript, Redux, Express, Graph QL, Secure REST API, SOAP, JSON, Serverless AWS 

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

• Strong ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Strong unit test and debugging skills

• Experience building scalable infrastructure software and distributed systems for a SaaS platform, including implementing queuing systems for microservices. 

• Strong knowledge in micro-service and monolithic application architectures and best practices in tenancy.

• Experience with AWS services EC2, ECS, serverless computing, CloudFormation, EBS, RDS, S3, IAM, ElastiCache, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Neptune, PostgresQL 

• Experience with SQL, NoSQL and Graph databases

• Knowledge of code versioning tools, CI/CD tools and processes; Git, Jenkins, Docker, CircleCI

• Experience in Machine Learning and/or Data Mining
