Viral Nation is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Youtube Video Editor to join our VN Talent team. The ideal candidate embodies an innovative approach to mastering their craft and is entrepreneurial about how they use their video, animation and graphic skills, to execute against a client's goals. They should be someone who’s creative and editorial by nature, and who enjoys collaborative work with others in a team. Communicating within a structured work environment or agency, and working in a fast-paced environment comes easily to them. They are resourceful, responsive, and eager to get the job done - all with attention to the highest degree of quality and details. The Youtube Video Editor will, the daily, explore design-driven creative ideas as they execute against the needs for long and short video deliverables. You must have an eye for composition and story-telling and be passionate about captivating audiences with content on behalf of the world’s most iconic brands and influential talents. You will be tasked with creating strong narratives through visuals in an effort to make people stop, listen, give consideration or take action. You will collaborate with the VN Talent Team and other creative teams to execute video deliverables throughout the total post-production workflow and participate in pre-planning and execution phases to maintain a cohesive approach to finalizing deliverables in alignment with client needs and budgets. The ideal Youtube Video Editor is the sort of person who constantly consumes content in order to keep a finger on the pulse of various content landscapes and to understand the ingredients for relevant, captivating creative work. As a proven Youtube Video Editor, this consumption is bespoke paired with technical and tactical knowledge of your craft, to facilitate the creation of high-quality creative deliverables.

• Play a vital role in creating visual content for some of the world's most innovative brands and influencer talents. 
• Work collaboratively with the VN Talent Team,  Creative Directors, Producers, and other creative team members to tell clients’ stories in the most memorable way
• Create high-quality video edits that will span various media platforms such as social media channels, digital platforms, websites, etc. 
• Edit a variety of projects that includes brand marketing videos, how-to instructional videos, branded social content, talent-driven vlog content, product and service announcement videos, sizzle reels and teasers and profile pieces, according to storyboards, tight scripts, and brand guidelines, or with basic concepts and little direction
• Provide internal project leadership to edit/post team on assigned productions utilizing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
• Collaborate with Creative Directors and Producers to ensure project expectations are aligned and met
• Ensure all assets are aligned with the project’s message, tone, and visual aesthetic
• As needed on occasion, work with outside VFX vendors, or video crews during pre and post-production for larger scoped projects
• Track, version vet, prepare and render final edits to match the various deliverables per client specifications
• Meet critical deadlines under changing conditions, strong time management
• Build and maintain a team rapport with creative team personnel and producers
• Communicate with client, when needed
• Finalize edits for deliverables and colour grading in multiple formats
• Facilitate animations, both within larger video scopes and for standalone needs (2D + 3D) 

• 3+ years experience in video production as an editor
• Ability to edit short and long-form content
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs (i.e. Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator)
• Experienced in all aspects of video post-production 
• Proficient understanding of graphic design, colour correction, audio mixing, cutting music, motion graphics, etc
• Strong understanding of animation principles and graphic application within video edits
• Comprehensive understanding of editing file structures and A/V formats and compression
• Clear knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs, and their proper handling in a post workflow
• Have a passion for visual aesthetics and storytelling
• STRONG attention to detail, composition, and spelling
• Ability to communicate needs in a positive and productive fashion
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one given time
• Ability to recognize and process internal and client feedback
• Ability to thrive in a company of collaborative people, while simultaneously demonstrating an ability to get progress projects without direct supervision.
• Talent for wearing multiple brand hats and switching easily between brand books.
