Viral Nation is seeking a Director, of Marketing for a highly visible leadership role working with our C-suite executives to deliver growth across the agency. The Director will both lead, mentor, and grow a team. In this role, you will be managing and executing the marketing and communication strategies for our corporate brand and all current and future projects. The successful candidate will be a market leader in Digital Marketing with a deep understanding of the consumer, their lifestyle, and their online behaviour. You consistently deliver on both brand and organizational objectives. You are a leader, a partner, and a go-getter; curious and eager to innovate, test, fail, learn, coach, educate, and evolve!

You will oversee the development of Viral Nation’s marketing strategy in conjunction with the broader marketing and sales teams including administration of staff, as assigned, CRM/Database Management and direction, brand and corporate communications, project management, and interfacing with media and company partners. 

Job Description

  • Set the Marketing Strategy for the next 12, 24, and 48 months.
  • Lead, set goals and KPI’s, and manage teams of Messaging, PR, Events, Social, Website, Media Relations, Brand, Channel Strategy, CRM.
  • Partner closely with the Sales and Biz Dev teams, as well as business leads across the organization.
  • Lead the marketing, design, and branding of the corporate brand and any affiliated projects. This includes managing a brand awareness as well as demand gen budget. 
  • Produce or, if appropriate, identify and manage the process and relationship(s) with outside agencies as it relates to marketing, website and/or public relations items.
  • Identify key customer segments, for targeting and messaging.
  • Be hands-on with business development efforts.
  • Leading the pursuit of community and industry specific awards.
  • Be an expert in managing digital and social media channels (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Brand Advocate: You will be the brand champion for Viral Nation, regularly inspiring others with excellence and success stories across internal and external audiences.
  • Brand-driven marketer: You have a keen eye for the brand as the foundation and development of 360° marketing efforts in the B2B space. You know the challenges of scaling a brand while maintaining integrity.
  • Brand Story Telling: You are a strong storyteller that can easily craft and tell compelling and inspiring brand stories, rooted in strategy and consumer insights.
  • Strategic thinking - You’re highly motivated, tactical, and an innovative thinker, who seamlessly goes from strategy to execution and every step in between, driving thought leadership amongst team members.
  • Collaborative leader - You’re most interested in achieving the goals of the business than earning recognition. We’re in this as a team and share feedback freely and frequently.
  • Budget Owner - Track monthly/quarterly Brand spends - media, partnerships, sampling, event & partner sponsorships.
  • Business Analytics & Consumer Insights: Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze data, connect the dots and tell the story of why. You will have a deep understanding of drivers of performance of assigned category and brand. Identify opportunities and issues to drive brand growth and profitability. Responsible for forecast accuracy of ongoing demand to ensure strong in-market execution. 
  • Collaborate with the Market Research Analyst to leverage research (historical, secondary) and insights (consumer and supplier research, trends) to drive business planning and brand actions and ensure continuous learning plan.
  • Regular evaluations of return on marketing spend

Qualifications

  • Be someone who has passion and a proven track record in brand management, digital marketing and developing and managing marketing strategies that work.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related marketing, brand management or design experience 
  • Proven success in identifying target audiences and executing digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate segmented personas
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies for a growing business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative storytelling skills through writing and visualizations
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demand generation experience
  • Hands-on marketer ready to not only lead strategy but also execute marketing tactics
