Job Description

The Entertainment & Recreation Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging entertainment and recreational experiences for resort guests. The role requires a creative, energetic, and hands-on professional who can develop memorable day and evening activities while ensuring high standards of guest engagement, safety, and service.

Practical experience in evening entertainment activities such as fire shows, light shows, live performances, themed events, stage shows, and other resort entertainment activities will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily and evening entertainment and recreation programs.
  • Organize and lead fire shows, light shows, live performances, stage shows, themed nights, cultural programs, and special events.
  • Take a hands-on role in planning and executing entertainment activities.
  • Develop creative entertainment concepts to enhance guest experiences.
  • Coordinate with performers, DJs, musicians, instructors, and external entertainment providers.
  • Manage activity schedules and coordinate with relevant resort departments.
  • Monitor guest feedback and participation to continuously improve programs.
  • Ensure all activities meet required safety, quality, and resort standards.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the entertainment and recreation team.
  • Manage entertainment equipment, props, costumes, lighting, and sound resources.
  • Assist with budgeting, procurement, inventory, and cost control.
  • Coordinate closely with F&B, Engineering, Security, Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments.
  • Prepare activity reports and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Entertainment, Recreation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in resort entertainment, recreation, events, or a similar role, with managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong practical experience in organizing and conducting evening entertainment programs.
  • Hands-on experience with fire shows, light shows, stage productions, themed events, or similar entertainment activities will be a significant advantage.
  • Creative, energetic, outgoing, and highly guest-focused personality.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and international guests.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and events simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Hands-on and operationally engaged approach with the ability to lead activities by example.
