Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, proactive, and service-oriented Chinese-speaking island host to join our guest service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our guests enjoy a seamless, memorable, and personalized experience throughout their stay. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and various resort departments.
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing personalized check-in experiences and an introduction to the resort’s facilities and services.
- Address guest requests and inquiries promptly, offering recommendations and booking activities such as excursions, spa services, dining reservations, etc.
- Monitor the guest experience, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to ensure guests have a memorable stay.
- Conduct tours of the resort for new arrivals, explaining the facilities, amenities, and activities.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
- Ensure a smooth departure process by providing any necessary support, such as arranging transportation and assisting with check-out procedures.
- Act as a bridge between Chinese-speaking guests and resort staff, ensuring clear communication and a high level of service.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with guests.
- Familiarity with Chinese culture, customs, and guest expectations is an advantage.
- Capable of resolving guest issues with efficiency and professionalism.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- A passion for delivering high-quality guest experiences.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems or reservation software including Microsoft Office, Opera, Micros
