As our Chief Steward & Safety and Hygiene Manager, you will:

  • Oversee all aspects of hygiene, safety, and quality control in the resort’s food and beverage operations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive hygiene and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality in all areas of the resort.
  • Lead and train a team of stewards and culinary staff to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement quality control measures and address any issues proactively.
  • Monitor inventory and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP standards and other relevant quality control systems.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hygiene, safety, and quality control practices in the food and beverage industry.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
