Job Description

As the Head Chef of the Team Restaurant at Villa Haven, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, and culinary standards. You will lead a team of passionate chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food production, presentation, and team satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior culinary role in a high-volume buffet setting, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognised culinary institution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
  • Expertise in buffet-style food production, including menu planning, bulk cooking, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
  • Creative flair and passion for culinary arts, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a remote island setting and adapt to a tropical climate.
