Job Description
Under the guidance of the billing supervisor, the outlet cashier is responsible for raising and printing bills based on the beverage order ticket or kitchen order ticket raised by the waiter and outlet supervisor. In addition, ensuring the cashier's smooth operation in accordance with management policy.
- The main duties and responsibilities of the job are:
- To attend and adhere to the duty roster at all times.
- To prepare bills on all kitchen and beverage order tickets issued by service staff.
- To ensure that the name, room number, and signatures required from clients are obtained.
- To ensure the signatures of the respective guest are obtained on each of the bills by the waiter or outlet supervisor.
- To complete bill entry sheets and other documents as necessary, re-check and sign on each page.
- Reconcile money received during the shift against cash in hand.
- To post bills to the respective guest folio at the end of every shift and ensure that signatures on the bills are verified with the guest registration cards.
- Be prepared for customer questions regarding the billing and provide proper information.
- Ensure customer complaints are handled and tackled in a professional manner.
- To answer the outlet telephone in the prescribed manner and provide assistance to the caller.
- To contact or report all the incidents to the billing supervisor in time.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role in a resort or hotel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Energetic with a positive personality and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent team player, committed, and hardworking.
- Can work with a team with minimum supervision.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge about billing systems like Symphony and Oracle would be an advantage.
