Job Description
- Oversee the operation of Villa Park Clinic under the guidance of the Human Resources Department.
- Address health concerns of guests and Team Member during regular duty hours.
- Respond promptly to all medical emergency calls 24/7 and remain accessible by phone on off days.
- Adhere to ethical medical practices at all times.
- Collaborate with hospitals and local authorities to address medical issues and comply with legal requirements.
- Update emergency procedures as needed and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage stock levels of medications and first aid supplies, including restocking island First Aid kits.
- Conduct monthly stock takes of medical surgery equipment and supplies.
- Provide daily reports of medical consultations to the Director of Human Resources and the General Manager.
- Generate daily and monthly reports with statistical data on illness trends, guest treatments, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for all patients.
- Conduct ongoing Health and Safety education and awareness sessions for colleagues.
- Stay informed about current health issues in the Maldives through continuous research.
- Participate in community activities.
- Uphold the highest health and hygiene standards for the clinic, oneself, and the surroundings.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of all medical equipment, including the Ambulance Buggy.
- Train the First Aid Team to keep them updated and proficient.
- Inform relevant departments in case of emergencies requiring transfer arrangements and cooperate accordingly.
- Keep Managers and Departmental Heads informed of Team Member 's medical conditions and provide advice on isolation in the event of communicable diseases.
- Issue all Medical/Sick certificates and referral letters to colleagues after thorough evaluation.
- Issue any Medical Certificate/Report to guests or insurance companies with the permission of HRD and GM.
- Stand by for medical assistance and lead the first aid team during medical emergencies.
- Inform the Loss Prevention Team of any physical injury, assault, or trauma to guests or colleagues for proper investigations.
- Conduct hygiene tests and random urine drug tests as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Must have all relevant credentials to meet the Maldives Medical and Dental Council requirements
- With valid practicing license in Maldives will be added advantage
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to attend guest needs and always remaining professional, and serve with humility
- Strong interpersonal, intrapersonal, organizational and analytical skills
- Flexible with duty hours and schedules
