Job Description

Loss Prevention Manager manages loss prevention operations of designated business unit/property in providing a safe & secure environment for guests, staffs, visitors and contractors while protecting the assets, interests, and integrity. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law, corporate office and Standard Operating Procedures. Trains staff in established emergency procedures and implements fire prevention procedures. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance.  Loss Prevention Manager will lead the development of arrangements and procedures to ensure that designated business unit/property can respond appropriately to an incident, including regular risk and impact assessments, business continuity exercises, plan maintenance activities, awareness and training. Loss Prevention Manager will be responsible for implementing Villa Loss Prevention Program at property level including Security Condition Program, Safety & Security Assessment and other standards & procedures.

Managing Loss Prevention Operations

  • Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps, training and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events.
  • Conduct safety & security investigation, if needed with collaboration of HR department.
  • Conducts investigation of all losses of property assets and refers to proper management for disposition.
  • Deploys security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.
  • Comply with all Corporate Loss Prevention guidelines and procedures.
  • Conduct fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness.
  • Managing Fire Fighting Team in collaboration with Chief Engineer. 
  • Completes all record keeping requirements under Security Condition Compliance. 
  • Complete record keeping of first report of injury, employee accident analysis, security analysis, key control and daily log documentation.
  • Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly audits, incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.
  • Enforces random bag checks at the Loss Prevention Control Room and the gate pass policy.
  • Complies with applicable laws and safety and security regulations.
  • Follow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property.
  • Develop a monthly checklist for all CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and duress alarms to ensure that they are fully functional.
  • Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the wellbeing of people, assets and critical infrastructure. 
  • Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • Holds Quarterly Meetings and coordinates meetings through the Group Director Loss Prevention. 
  • Hold monthly Loss Prevention meeting with management team. 
  • Implements action plans to monitor and control risk.
  • Maintains integrity of the Loss Prevention Department through unannounced "spot checks" of the property to identify areas in need of corrective action.
  • Assists in all loss prevention operations to include but not limited to patrol process, emergency response, investigations (initial & follow up) for all people  related incidents, shipping and receiving process (makes recommendations for improvement), electronic key system. 
  • Leads and directs significant investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other relevant authorities through guidance of Group Director Loss Prevention. 
  • Handles guest problems and complaints.
  • Maintain first aid and CPR certifications required for Loss Prevention officers and employees.
  • Assists in minimizing cost of accident claims by implementing Villa Loss Prevention Program.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support the Review Processes.
  • Administer property policies fairly and consistently.
  • Identifies the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
  • Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in a related filed.
  • Minimum 5-years of relevant experience within a loss prevention capacity previously
  • Fluency in English with very strong skill in preparing reports. 
  • Proven loss prevention program exposure, including experience in a hospitality environment, at management level.
  • Demonstrable ability to proactively gather the right data from appropriate sources, while considering all of the facts and other perspectives.
