Viewpointsystem is a Viennese deep-tech company that produces internationally awarded smart glasses. Our data glasses are used by corporate clients worldwide for remote support and maintenance, training and analysis, among other things. As the inventor of Eye Hyper-Tracking® and pioneer of Digital Iris® technology, our goal is to make Mixed Reality more intuitive and to take the interaction between people and the digital world to a new level. At our two locations in the 1st and 22nd districts, we develop and produce both the hardware and the software for the Smart Glasses.

Job Description

  • Support requirements engineering, harmonization with the system design, and testing of the system
  • Strategic planning of AR / VR software development, e.g. technical platforms, development environments, ecosystems
  • Technical development of the AR / VR platform, e.g. planning and development of an SDK and API for the best possible link with an Eye Tracking system
  • Development of algorithms and software components for the procedural image data generation
  • Planning and development of other sub-functions and plugins, also with external suppliers and partners
  • Coordination of the AR / VR content with sales and product management, strategic planning of the product landscape
  • Development and validation of algorithms for sensor fusion and positioning
  • Intensive cooperation with the development team and external partners
  • Profiling and performance optimization of applications
  • Optimizing code to meet performance, memory and timing requirements of the embedded system

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or PhD in engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of algorithm development for augmented reality applications
  • Experience and specific knowledge (in several of the following areas): Software technology and agile software development, Object-oriented programming (e.g. C++, C#, Java), Unreal, Unity, Qt 3d, Algorithms and code optimization, Sensor fusion and calibration algorithms (e.g. Kalman filters, complementary filters), Machine learning, Image processing
  • Further knowledge in one of the following areas is desirable: Scrum, Distributed systems, Operating systems and real-time operating systems, Continuous integration, Communication networks and bus systems, Augmented, mixed and / or virtual reality
  • Experience with HMDs (such as HoloLens or Magic Leap)
  • Strong experience with version control (e.g. git)
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical content in both written and verbal form

We offer a starting minimum collective salary (40hrs/week) of € 3.300,-. Based on your skillset and experience a higher remuneration is intended.
