Job Description

As the Operations Manager, you will provide operational support to the Retail sales teams. You will be responsible for documenting and reviewing current business processes, identifying process gaps or common errors, and proposing solutions to reduce errors, streamline processes, create efficiencies, and most importantly, improve sales performance within the Retail channel.

In this role, you will lead large projects that impact the Retail sales teams, support ad-hoc initiatives and change management activities. As an expert in the Retail channel, you will maintain a strong relationship with the leaders and sales agents. You will be also responsible for reporting and managing the operational budget and spend for the Retail Channel.

Key accountabilities of this role include project and timeline management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, documenting process and policy documents, managing and reporting on Retail OPEX, representing the Retail channel, and presenting project details and updates to Sales Leaders.

A typical day

The day-to-day tasks of the Operations Manager include the following:

  • Leading project execution as the stakeholder of change; representing the Retail channel
  • Managing internal projects; working cross-functionally with internal teams to build project timelines and track project deliverables
  • Presenting project plans, deliverables, and updates to Sales Leaders
  • Defining, documenting, and supporting day-to-day operations and operational based programs, processes, and policies within Retail channels
  • Identifying gaps in knowledge or processes and recommending new processes, tools, procedures, or solutions to support the sales objectives of the Retail channel
  • Planning, managing and reporting on all operational budget and spend for the Retail channel
  • Managing and supporting knowledge management tools and resources
  • Leading Retail location transitions, on-boarding, and off-boarding
  • Providing support to and collaborating with internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Assessing agent and customer impact and socializing details through effective communication

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of telecommunications, sales support, or Retail sales experience
  • 5-7 years business analysis, operations, or channel support experience
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (internal & external)
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office, Retail systems (Retail IQ, Oracle, CREATE, etc.)
  • High attention to detail with an ability to analyze needs and translate complex findings into clear and concise messaging
  • Highly creative, self-motivated individual with drive, confidence, and the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with team members
