Job Description
The Property Accountant is a responsible for monthly reconciliation of accounting functions for a portfolio of approximately 40 properties including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections accounting, CAM, billings, budgeting and financial reporting (P&L and Balance Sheet).
Responsibilities:
Serves as the accounting liaison between external PMCs and internal departments for the assigned property portfolio
Verifying Financial reporting – including but not limited to conducting variance analysis and ensuring comments on material changes to previous quarter and/or budget are appropriate
Cash management
Maintain the overall integrity of the financial records of the assigned property portfolio
Train entry-level team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Property Accounting or Residential Accounting and 7 years General Accounting
Accrual Accounting is a plus
Working knowledge of GAAP
Ability to read, analyze, articulate and compile financial reports
Excellent communication skills with ability to skillfully communicate with external and internal stakeholders
Effectively manage multiple properties simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Able to work with minimal supervision
Strong proficiency in Excel
Proficient at MS Word and Outlook

Compensation - 90K - 110K
