Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager will lead a team of 5 internal audit / risk analysts to meet the analytical and fraud detection needs of the Internal Audit Department.  This position will be responsible for addressing all department needs specific to the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling of the data analytics operation. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train, develop and manage the performance of the team
  • Set initiatives and provide guidance for data analytics projects
  • Develop and present data analytic engagement reports and findings to senior management
  • Provide direction to and support for the creation of ad-hoc/continuous monitoring reporting
  • Mentor and train staff on data analytic/fraud detection methodology and tools
  • Manage the implementation of new infrastructure in the department
  • Perform Internal Audits to ensure that operational processes are compliant with Company operating policies
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervise two or more employees
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Provide leadership in accordance with the organization’s policies and all applicable laws

WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Work will be performed in a typical office environment,
  • Travel will be required for on-site audits, meetings and training

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred

Experience

  • 3 or more years of data analysis or Financial, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • 5 or more years group Internal Audit experience preferred
  • Previous direct supervisory experience and leadership skills
  • Public Accounting Experience is desirable

  • Must be able to work and succeed in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks, projects and demands, assigning resources when appropriate
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees and management, independently and also in a team
  • exceptional communication in English language both written and oral
  • Organized and scientific approach to work that allows for collection and retention of large amounts of data with no loss of integrity
  • Intermediate to Expert level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and in querying databases (ACL, SQL server, etc)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the functionality, processes and procedures of Accounting systems
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to research, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Demonstrated history of learning new skill sets as needed to perform challenging and complex tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of company’s principles, policies, procedures and standards
  • Ability to apply experience based knowledge and leadership skills toward organizational goals
  • Strong sense of initiative, requiring little direct supervision
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to make decisions toward the objective of satisfying all brands
