Job Description

Summary:

The Manager National Accounts primary responsibility is to profitably grow and manage sales for the Vi-Jon Professional business through personal selling efforts into Amazon.  This manager will identify and develop regional, national and individual programs designed to broaden penetration to support new business growth of Vi-Jon Professional in the eCommerce Channel.  The Manger National Accounts is responsible for aligning with Professional sales and general management leadership for planning integration and effective execution of plans and goals.  This manager will possess strong interpersonal skills to build long-term customer relationships and to represent the company in front of all internal and external stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue and grow eCommerce business at Amazon
  • Maintain margins within established guidelines
  • Grow customer relationship in focus segments to generate new business for Vi-Jon Professional
  • Identify, build and execute a sound sales plan and maintain key information on prospects for business and customer development
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve goals for new sales
  • Author and deliver clear and effective customized sales presentations and proposals
  • Build strong and strategic relationships within the Amazon organization, specifically executive management, senior sales members and sourcing management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, topics and issues for both product and channel
  • Engage and collaborate with internal team members for alignment and effective execution

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA preferred.

 

Experience Requirements:

10+ years’ experience in Sales.

  • Proven record of sales results with distribution model
  • Demonstrated overachievement against aggressive goals set in previous positions
  • Familiarity of eCommerce
  • Experience in selling key end user accounts, national accounts
  • High integrity and accountable
  • Self-starter
  • Demonstrated collaborative team approach to consultative selling
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and operational functions within distribution and its customers.
  • Ability to manage and lead effectively and cross-functionally with more complex customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Able to deal with ambiguity
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with internal team members
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and contract management

Travel:

Must be able and willing to travel up to 70% with a variable weekly travel schedule with occasional weekends.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
