Job Description

  • Ensure Class Technology products are delivered to our customers seamlessly and with the best quality possible
  • Build & lead a DevOps team to develop a robust and scalable infrastructure
  • Maintain highly available sites across public cloud (AWS/Azure) global regions
  • Mentor the DevOps team to provide the infrastructure-as-code needed to maintain multiple development/test/stage/production environments across global cloud regions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Development, Quality Assurance, and L1/2 Application Support.
  • Maintain an evolving long-term technical roadmap to lead your team for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Leverage new technologies to drive innovation
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
  • Design reports and tools to manage and optimize costs
  • Partner with development in taking ownership of performing code deployments in all global environments
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing change management
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
  • Assist in support hours of operation and off-hour production emergencies

Qualifications

  • Outstanding management experience and collaboration skills
  • 7+ years in managing 24x7 cloud operation teams.
  • History building teams and capabilities from the ground up.
  • 3+ years of operating and securing AWS environments.
  • Experience working in the Microsoft Azure stack is a plus
  • Solid understanding of build, release, infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred), and networking concepts.
  • Extensive "serverless" architecture experience. I.e., AWS Lambda
  • Skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks and resolving root cause of service needs
  • ITIL and/or AWS, Azure certifications are a plus
