Job Description

We're looking for a part-time Product Launch Manager to join our team at Verto on a 6 month contract basis with the option to extend depending on our business needs. As the Product Launch Manager on our team you will specialize in facilitating creative production and streamlining operations for our product launch. You will act as the first point of contact for our client concerning all project timelines and deliverables as well as ongoing business requirements. This role requires someone who is a keen problem solver and has a track record of navigating through complex product launches while creating strong relationships internally and externally.

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and collaborative, and has proven experience successfully managing projects that involve technical, creative, and business resources and deliverables. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning & coordinating our product launch; Communicating with all launch team memebers, internally & externally, to discuss goals, timelines, deliverables, obstacles, and dependencies.
  • Developing a strategic launch plan based on stakeholder input, with proposed deadlines and milestones for each team.
  • Communicating the plan to all participants—and soliciting feedback—to arrive at an agreed-upon strategy for a successful product launch.
  • Coordinating with all teams throughout the launch process to ensure everyone is on track—and helping when a team faces a challenge.
  • Tracking everyone’s progress, meeting with all departments to learn if anyone is running into trouble, and holding all teams accountable for completing their tasks on time.
  • Learning about all teams’ abilities, schedules, and resource levels—anticipate bottlenecks or other issues early and be able to help.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience managing product launches across B2C, B2B, and/or marketing agencies. 
  • Experience in-house and/or at start-up managing creative marketing projects 
  • Effective communication skills, with strong abilities to prioritize and manage project goals, constraints, deliverables, and schedules within a cross-functional team with flawless timelines, status docs, trackers, and meeting notes.
  • Knowledge about the creative production process
  • Has experience using and facilitating training/adoption to project management software such as Zenhub or Asana
  • Has the ability to prioritize and manage work for self and others, adhering to multiple project timelines simultaneously
  • Is excited to collaborate with creative teams, understands how creatives think and has a POV on what works/doesn’t work in the creative and briefing process
  • Seeks out tasks that will improve our team and our output
  • Is self-directed, brings ideas to the table, and takes ownership of their projects
  • Has a positive, optimistic attitude, even when the team is facing a challenge
