Job Description

We are looking for our first-ever Director of Growth Marketing! As our Director of Growth Marketing, you'll roll up your sleeves and get started on developing and executing our business strategy from a marketing perspective. As we are early in our journey, we need a hands-on leader who will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals all from scratch.

Our ideal candidate has a solid Marketing background and work experience managing a variety of projects from end to end, including paid advertising campaigns and digital marketing techniques. Our Director of Growth Marketing will report directly to the COO and will oversee internal Marketing teams as we grow. The right person for this role will be well-versed in building marketing functions from the ground up, love to dive into any task and want to build a culture-first company!

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Working with the leadership team to define our company strategy and ensure that our marketing and employer brand strategy and outcomes are aligned with company goals.
  • Ensuring our marketing activities drive incoming leads to support our quarterly pipeline and sales goals, and oversee demand generation to make sure marketing plans, budgets, and key performance indicators are in place.
  • Providing ongoing leadership across all aspects of marketing, including brand marketing and communications, product launch and GTM, ongoing product marketing and research, digital growth, activations, and marketing technology.
  • Creating relationships with industry partners to build stories that make us stand out in the market, giving us coverage through earned media and reports.
  • Leading the marketing launch of new verticals and product lines.
  • Shaping Verto's messaging and brand voice to meet our market's expectations and differentiation.
  • Being the leader in how we bring our product to market using customer research, competitor insights, and market data.
  • Leading by example, with a bias for results and execution. You have the humility and confidence to put team and company success ahead of your own.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marketing Director, Marketing Manager or other senior marketing communications role ready for their next challenge.
  • Experience working with a fast-growing early-stage fin-tech or banking company with proven experience establishing and growing a brand, developing and executing marketing strategies and frameworks, and executing them at a tactical level.
  • A tactical and strategic mindset. You should be able to operate in the weeds, but also be the leader with the ability to build integrated brand/marketing architecture and frameworks. 
  • Experience in working with B2B and B2C platforms and/or marketplaces.
  • Experience articulating a defined strategy and molding consensus across many different stakeholders with excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Deep knowledge of how to manage digital and offline channels and tools to build a brand, customer base, and partner-driven growth.
  • The proven ability to navigate complex, technical, cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in handling multiple, competing priorities and projects, with a strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset and ability to dig into complex topics.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering pipeline growth and an ROI on marketing budget.
  • Evidence of skill in boosting the amount of earned media and analyst coverage.
  • Proven success as a leader, coach and mentor with success in hiring and fostering growth of your team.
  • Naturally collaborative. You're comfortable working with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organization and making sure every voice is heard
