Here at Version 1, we are currently looking for an experienced Big Data Java Solutions Architect to join our growing Digital, Data & Cloud Practice.

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and worked on projects across a multiplicity of sectors and industries.

You will be:

• Leading the development of Java and Python projects.
• Designing and developing API integrations using Spark.
• Collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into HLD and LLD solutions.
• Defining the architecture and technical design.
• Designing data flows and integrations using Hadoop.
• Working with the product team and testers to implement throughout testing.
• Creating and developing comprehensive documentation, including solution architecture, design, and user guides.
• Providing training and support to end-users and client teams.
• Staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.

You will have expertise within the following:

• Java and Python development knowledge (Essential)
• Previous experience with Spark or Hadoop (Essential)
• Trino or Airflow (Desirable)
• Architecture and capabilities.
• Designing and implementing complex solutions with a focus on scalability and security.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location: This role can be delivered in a hybrid nature from one of these offices London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Dublin or Belfast.
