This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microsoft Azure consultant to join our Public Sector Practice. Version 1 have had continued success working with our customers to deliver value, innovation, and excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with Azure technologies with demonstrable experience in designing and deploying highly available, performant, and secure solutions for enterprise customers. You will have experience of working with DevOps tooling to deploy Cloud native solutions and services and be passionate about continual learning and development to keep track of emerging technology.

Ideally coming from a consulting background, you will be an excellent communicator, with ability to clearly create and communicate technical designs, issues, and resolutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will have good commercial awareness and be able to articulate the commercial impacts of technical challenges and opportunities. You will be able to effectively collaborate with others, obtain buy-in for your delivery approaches and manage your own priorities and performance to deliver high quality, highly performant solutions to our customers.

As a consultant you will have the opportunity to lead projects and develop trusted relationships with our customers across the UK and Ireland and play a leading role in our growing team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Provide technical leadership within project delivery, and when consulting with customers
• Leading conversations with customers to understand requirements and identify solutions and opportunities
• Design and delivery of Cloud native solutions
• Implementing DevOps processes and tooling for the delivery of IaaS and PaaS services using IaC in the public cloud for enterprise scale customers
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for the delivery of applications to public cloud services
• Producing high quality documentation
• Contribute to technical decisions and team development initiatives in a collaborative environment

• Demonstrable experience as a consult engaging with senior stakeholders
• Experience of working with customers to design and implement solutions that are scalable, resilient, efficient, and secure.
• Strong hands on experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services
• Desirable experience with DevOps tooling such as Terraform, Azure DevOps etc
• Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure principles
• Strong understanding of security best practices
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Passionate about continual learning and development to keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies
• Azure Administration Certification desirable
