Job Description

Version 1 has doubled in size and revenue in three years. A new role in Version 1, this group level position will be a key enabler in accelerating our business growth and success. You should be an innovative and self-starting Senior Pricing professional to support driving our business's competitiveness and profitability. As part of the Commercial Operations function the role will provide you with the opportunity to develop into a key business leader as the impact and scale of the pricing function grows.

In this role, you will be a subject matter expert in pricing and market movements, a key contributor to defining and evolving pricing strategies across all service lines, and the internal authority on standardised pricing and commercial models to optimise deal wins, value delivery and deal profitability. You should possess a solid knowledge and depth of experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, bringing to bear through exacting actionable insights to executing and evolving our pricing strategies. Your responsible will include:

  • Drive pricing strategies across all portfolios, sectors and routes to market aligned closely with market trends and identify opportunities for margin improvement while improving customer value.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance and delivery functions to identify new cross-portfolio opportunities, influence pricing strategy and execution.
  • Apply statistical modelling methods to create high impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
  • Define pricing KPIs and measure the effectiveness of pricing changes to enable continuous improvement.
  • Implement and operate effective pricing governance structures, tools, reporting & evolution
  • Forecast revenue potential and market share based on market trends, costs, profit margins, and sales volumes.
  • Keep informed on general pricing analysis methods and industry trends and translate into evolutions of our pricing strategies.
  • Maintain a close watch on competitor pricing and bid outcomes, conducting relevant analysis and determining appropriate pricing positioning for specific bids and other opportunity circumstances.
  • Track customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for services and offerings.
  • Develop dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.
  • Maintain periodic communication of pricing analysis insights to executives, delivery teams, and sales staff and the progression of actions arising.

Qualifications

  • Commercial and analytical experience - proven expertise delivering pricing improvements against multiple £/€m P&L lines.
  • Experience as a pricing professional and possess a deep knowledge of IT Consultancy, specifically as it relates to market and competitor positioning, offerings, pricing approaches & strategies, and general trends
  • Extensive experience in developing, analysing and executing pricing proposals
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant statistical methods and data analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in data modelling using Excel/VBA and/or other relevant toolsets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Effective reporting and presentation skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive team player.
