Job Description

Version 1 is looking for an experienced consultant to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of  solutions for mid to enterprise level organisations. We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast pace, can prioritise workload, and is eager to gain industry experience. You will have solid background in Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies with a Continuous Service Improvement mindset. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their existing skills with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and Oracle Platinum Partner working with cutting edge technologies.

This exciting opportunity will see the candidate working within a team of experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrators, exercising and developing the wide range of necessary skills that distinguishes a well-rounded consultant:

  • Develops understanding of clients business, applications and users.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues to business users.

Qualifications

3 years’ + experience (including 1-year specialist experience in an Oracle DBA support role)  

  • Relevant degree in Information Technology / Computing
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server Platforms
  • Experience in install, upgrade and administration of Oracle and SQL Server 
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle running on Linux and Windows 
  • Experience with RMAN backup and recovery 
  • SQL and PL/SQL coding experience
  • Automation and scripting skills 
  • Oracle RAC and Data Guard experience a plus
  • SQL Server Availability Groups experience a plus
  • Exadata Platform Experience a plus
  • Azure Cloud experience a plus
