Job Description

The AWS Partner Manager will be responsible for driving Version 1 revenue via the AWS partnership across both Public and Private sector.    To ensure Version 1 is the partner of choice for AWS customers the Partner Manager will be responsible for working with key stakeholders such as sales, pre-sales, delivery, marketing etc. to identify competitive differentiators, grow pipeline and to create propositions alongside marketing activities.  You will champion Version 1 with AWS but, just as importantly, you will be AWS’s champion within Version 1.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute against annual business plans with ambitious goals and clear KPIs that will drive growth for Version 1
  • Develop, build, and manage strong, trusted relationships with industry sales and partner teams at AWS and sales and community leaders at Version 1
  • Generate revenue and referrals for Version 1 through the AWS partner sales channel.
  • Create joint partner enablement plans in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Be knowledgeable in the partners’ products, company and industry and ensuring that updates to the partner programme and funding are factored into Version 1’s approach
  • Achieve specialisations that set us apart from competitors
  • Obtain awards that contribute to a mind share growth within the partner, the market and Version 1
  • Collaborate with sales teams to create the enablement collateral that is needed for the Partner Manager role to succeed
  • Collaborate with the practice and portfolio areas around delivery capability and skills
  • Operate and maintain a consistent pipeline reporting process and deal registration
  • Work with Version 1 and the partner’s marketing team around go-to market plans and propositions

Qualifications

  • High level of knowledge of AWS is desirable but not necessary
  • Organisational, project management and execution capabilities
  • Commercially aware, you will be supporting salespeople on partner related opportunities
  • Team player, able to work closely with Version 1 cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, pathways, and the delivery practices
  • Results focused – ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve stated goals
  • Adept at building great relationships by being a proactive, responsive, strategic resource
  • A desire to learn and grow, to help understand and extend a complex business that is ever-changing.
  • Resourceful, creative, and able to find innovative ways to achieve results
