Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working in a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills in tight collaboration practising Agile. You will be contributing to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers and participating in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professional’s. Learning, developing your skills further and continuously improving will be part of your role. 

You will develop software to meet our client's user needs using Java, follow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines. In addition to Java, you will contribute to the Front End development within the project. You will be creating best in class documentation with our client users in mind.

In this project, you will be doing good with technology, part of a large programme of work to modernise and develop this central government department digital services, therefore, supporting our society. Qualifications

  • SC Eligible 
  • Java development and Unit Testing experience for a senior-level role
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in Agile delivery
  • Front End development experience in Angular, React, Node or Javascript
