You will be joining the Digital, Data and Cloud UK Practice team as a Release Manager allocated to one of our customers in a multi-disciplinary squad aligned to multiple business functions.

You will be responsible to increase the maturity of their release management processes, Implementing industry wide methodologies and best practices.   

You will be responsible for administration tasks with the support of tools such as Azure DevOps. You will lead larger and more complex initiatives and responsible for managing stakeholder relationships. You will understand and analyse needs / requirements from Agile teams and will typically create the link between current and future ways of working with best practices in place.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate, manage and perform release tasks for all releases for teams assigned.
• Coordination of Release functions across various business areas.
• Inform senior management of business areas about exposure to release risk and effectively mitigate it.
• Measure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics across all Business areas.
• Support and positively contribute to develop common strategies for release governance across multiple business areas and establish consistent release management processes.
• Support and help to create common standards and formats for release playbooks and work with production control to standardize release decision-making.
• Support to define common mechanisms for rollback and standards for capturing release-related performance indicators.
• Manage and perform administration tasks for Azure DevOps.
• Guide and advise on best practices and policies around Release processes and Azure DevOps usage.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure – DevOps, App Services, Service Bus, Azure VM, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Data Lake Analytics
• Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Atlassian Suite, Microservices
• Engaging early with stakeholders and positively shaping the overall pipeline of releases
• Pragmatic approach to working within a fast-paced IS department
• Logical and decisive approach to issue resolution
