Job Description

We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast pace, can prioritise workload, and is eager to gain industry experience. You will have solid background in Microsoft and Oracle technologies.

This exciting opportunity will see the candidate working within a team of experienced Oracle and SQL Server DBA/Developers, exercising and developing the wide range of necessary skills that distinguishes a rounded consultant:

Qualifications

1 - 3 years’ experience (including 1-year specialist experience in an Oracle DBA support role)  

  • Relevant degree 
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle 
  • Experience in install, upgrade and administration of SQL Server 
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle running on Linux and Windows 
  • Working knowledge of operating within a Microsoft Windows environments 
  • Experience with RMAN backup and recovery 
  • SQL and PL/SQL coding 
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills 
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and work planning abilities 
  • Strong process orientated approach to problem solving and working 
  • Demonstrated flexibility and motivational skills 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines. 
  • Automation and scripting skills 
  • Oracle RAC and Data Guard experience a plus
  • SQL Server Availability Groups experience a plus
  • Azure Cloud experience a plus
