Job Description
- Provide effective business partnering for a portfolio within Version 1. Main finance contact for practice and commercial queries.
- Responsible for Month-end close including dealing with invoicing and project queries.
- Revenue reconciliations including recurring revenue, additional revenue and license accrual reconciliations.
- Review/analyse project GP and identify problem projects.
- Prepare Work In Progress (WIP) targets spreadsheet. Take ownership of WIP balances and queries, liaise with Accounts Receivable team to drive WIP reductions
- Post Intercompany journals.
- Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc projects such as grants applications and R&D tax credit calculations.
- Longer-term ability to become a full Finance Business Partner
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Assist with the audit
- Take ownership of the monthly intercompany journal reconciliation.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with minimum two exams undertaken
- Have strong communication skills and be comfortable interacting with senior management across the Group
- Be capable of working to deadlines and have the ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter, that actively solves issues quickly and pays particular attention to detail
- Team player who demonstrates strong drive for results, shows leadership, and possesses strong negotiating skills
- Ability to be professional and approachable to all levels of employees from junior grade to Senior Managers
- Able to manage and prioritise a busy workload demonstrating sound judgement and consistency with department objectives
- Always shares information for the good of the business
- Intermediate – advanced level Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Netsuite and Adaptive Insights an advantage.
