Job Description

  • Support multiple clients across multiple technologies
  • Produce high-quality documentation to support workarounds and/or resolutions to assist in knowledge transfer and efficiencies
  • Assist internal IT teams and provide advice and guidance where appropriate in relation to incidents, service requests and/or projects to ensure the successful completion of tasks
  • Work within a structured ITIL / ISO20000 IT Service Management environment.
  • Using industry and company best practice and information, provide improvement and efficiency suggestions to existing team procedures and processes on an ongoing basis
  • Provide expertise to Projects and Business Service Requests as required to ensure tasks and milestones are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with various teams with a view to providing an excellent service to clients
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills arising from customer facing and on-site experience
  • Very strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required
  • Shadowing of technical leads
  • Technical lead for smaller projects

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years working in a technical role
  • Ideally over 3 years’ experience in Microsoft technologies working in a large enterprise environment
  • Part of a team that has delivered successful projects for clients
  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills and methodologies
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work well within a team
  • Good team member with good communication skills at all levels of seniority
  • Good organisational, administrative & documentation skills
  • Proven experience is working under strict process control methodologies, e.g. ITIL
  • The ability to develop relationships with staff and clients
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot incidents
  • Ability to build relationships with clients
  • Consultancy/project delivery experience with client facing background
  • ITIL V3 foundation
  • Delivery of key project technical tasks

Technical Skills 

  • Certification: One from MCSA/MCP in Server, Office365 or Azure
  • Certification: One from VMWare, Hyper-V, AWS, SAN, AV, Citrix, Firewall, WAF or  Backups,
  • Excellent Windows Server 2008\2012\2016 implementation & administration skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and DNS
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Excellent knowledge of backup solutions and principles
  • Excellent Windows client OS skills - Windows 7, 8.x & 10.
  • Good broad technical knowledge across Public Cloud (AWS, Azure etc)
  • Understanding of Cloud & infrastructure integration

Desirable skills

  • Additional infrastructure skills such as networking / etc. would be beneficial.
  • Project management experience e.g. Prince 2
