As a Data Science Intern you will have a key role in evaluating our current supply chain datasets for insights, and supporting the analysis, integration and testing of new datasets to grow our customer value.

As a member of a fast-moving start-up, we're looking for someone who is curious, improvement-focussed and adaptable. You'll be helping us to identify opportunities in our data, develop hypotheses and quickly test & iterate around them, learning to use new tools as needed.

You'll be working closely with our tech team and R&D team, with engagement also with our CTO. You will experience how the whole business operates though our weekly whole team meetings.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Inspecting and analysing our current supply chain datasets to generate internal metrics and test external use cases

• Support the enrichment of our existing data by testing and integrating new data sources

• Perform data orchestration

• Performing data transformations to optimise the value of our analyses

• Identifying, evaluating and implementing where appropriate other improvements which drive enhanced customer value and/or scalability of our data

• You should be undertaking (or recently finished) a Data Science, Data Engineering or equivalent quantitative degree

• Maths or Further Maths A level or equivalent

• Knowledge of Python and SQL

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Neo4j and Spark is desirable but not required
