Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager who has a proven track record in this role.  

This is a pivotal new opportunity for Verse and has exciting career progression opportunities with Executive Coaching for someone who is hungry, ambitious and successful in the role.  

The Sales Manager is key to following up new business opportunities, building sustainable relationships with prospective and existing clients with of course the gift of being able to negotiate and close sales.  

This role is, at this point, stand-alone however will be working closely with CSuite and the Lead Generation, Fulfilment and Retention teams.

 

Role and responsibilities

  • Working closely with CSuite to build the Sales Strategy, Sales Goals and a clear Product Proposition for the business.

  • Responsible for ensuring we meet our sales targets.

  • Strong focus on new client acquisition and development with a limited role in maintaining existing relationships. 

  • Responsible for managing the entire sales process with a strong emphasis on new business sales.

  • Generate short term results whilst maintaining a long-term perspective to maximise overall revenue generation.

  • Attend network events as required and creating awareness of the Verse brand.

  • Working closely with Lead Generation to identify new opportunities to apply your sales strategy, making contact and following up on client leads.

  • Engaging with the Fulfilment and Retention teams during the sales process, working collaboratively to produce a compelling solution for a prospective client and latterly to ensure that we are delivering our promises to our clients.

  • Responsible for the preparation of full proposals, quotations and budgets for all design and development projects.

  • Engage with prospect organisations through strategic solution-based selling and ROI analysis etc...

  • Identifying business strengths and customer mapping

  • Communicating new product/service developments to prospective and existing clients

  • Happy to write, present and deliver winning sales pitches with the ability to adapt style to suit the relevant audience.

  • Experience working with finance reporting, in particular profit and loss and being able to determine the reasons for the results.

  • Writing reports and analysing relevant business data.

  • Promoting a culture of growth through sales

  • Identifying key accounts

  • Educating team members on best practice business techniques.

  • Being aware of market trends and our competitors

  • Complying with any laws and regulations required in sales and business development.

  • Attending presentations and or client meetings as and when required.

  • Take ownership of Verse process, managing this across the board and making sure updates are communicated throughout Verse.

 

Skills and experience 

Essential

  • Experience working within a digital marketing/web agency or within technical services

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, face-to-face, in presentations, over the telephone or via video conferencing.

  • You are a self starter who has a track record of generating quality sales from a number of sources. 

  • Impeccable organisational skills with the ability to plan into the future.

  • IT literate 

  • A passion for knowledge with a strong desire to learn and deploy new skills.

  • Strong team player who has the ability to use their initiative and self- manage.

  • Adept at senior and ‘C’ level business conversations and presentations

  • Having a passion for and knowledge of all things digital and web related

  • Passion for and interest in digital. 

  • You must have a robust understanding of digital tools and build process 

  • You must understand the opportunity brands have in front of them to leverage digital to transform their business to keep them around for generations to come.

  • General awareness of the different areas of web design

  • Having an awareness of the latest and emerging technologies

  • Experience of working with Agile methodologies

  • Understanding of GSuite, Asana, Slack, Nuclino


 

Additional Information

Location

This position will be home working however is expected to travel as required to visit clients.  It is hoped that the successful candidate will be London based to make travel easier.

Hours

This is a full time role  working  37.5 hours a week over 5 days.    Our standard office hours are 8:30am to 5pm however.
