Job Description

The Opportunity

The Specialist, Corporate Events reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Events and plays a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of client hospitality programs, corporate events, and experiential activations across VERSANT’s Golf, Sports, Entertainment, and News portfolios. This position is responsible for managing event logistics, guest experiences, hospitality programs, and operational processes that contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact events.

Partnering closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, venues, and event partners, the Specialist will help ensure exceptional event execution while maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy, and service.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position based in either Stamford, CT or Orlando, FL. Team members are expected to work in the office Tuesday through Thursday and may work remotely on Monday and Friday. Approximately 30% travel is required to support events and hospitality programs throughout the year.

What You'll Do

  • Support event preparation, including guest communications, preparing and printing materials, and assembling and shipping event packages and supplies.
  • Build, maintain, and manage Cvent registration sites and attendee registration processes.
  • Manage event ticket distribution and tracking to ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate on-site event logistics, such as guest check-in, reservations, and ticketing support. 
  • Coordinate the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of event supplies, apparel, event-branded merchandise, and promotional items for corporate events and hospitality programs.
  • Coordinate weekly pro-am, honorary observer, and TPC barter round programs with various league partners, including participant management, guest communications, and collaboration with tournament contacts and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with expense tracking, invoice coding, purchase documentation, and receipt management to support event budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Maintain team calendars, project plans, task lists, meeting notes, follow-up deliverables, and post-event documentation, including feedback, photos, and event recaps.
  • Support additional administrative support, events and hospitality initiatives as assigned.
     

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or client services.
  • Experience working in or knowledge of golf, media, and/or entertainment preferred.
  • A guest-services mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences and delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Warm, welcoming, and professional presence with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, clients, partners, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with little manager supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Cvent or other event management platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% and provide on-site support for events as needed
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
