Job Description

The Entertainment Programming team is looking for a creative, analytical, and dynamic candidate with a passion for television, film, and the evolving streaming landscape to join the Multiplatform Programming team across the Versant cable networks. The Multiplatform Programming Coordinator will support content planning, merchandising, and programming operations across Versant's digital platforms, including our apps, websites, cable Video on Demand services, FAST channels, and Fandango.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in digital programming and streaming strategy to work across multiple brands, helping optimize how audiences discover and engage with our original series, acquired programming, and movies.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule full episodes and movies across Versant apps, websites, cable Video on Demand platforms, FAST channels, and Fandango.
  • Schedule and maintain Versant's growing FAST content library.
  • Collect and input program metadata into content management systems, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain and distribute VOD and Fandango programming plans across the company, keeping stakeholders informed of priorities and schedule changes.
  • Assist in creating short- and long-term programming plans for acquired series and movies.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for content collections, merchandising, and themed shelves across Versant's digital platforms.
  • Ensure content is surfacing correctly across digital platforms and partner with operations teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Support content strategy and programming decisions through performance reporting, audience analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Research, Marketing, Product, Acquisitions, Content Distribution, Social, Operations, and Fandango teams.
  • Provide support in determining programming rights and business rules through contract interpretation and close collaboration with the Acquisitions, Legal, and Content Distribution teams.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic materials that support leadership decision-making, content planning, and special projects.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive streaming services, audience behavior, breaking entertainment news, emerging technologies, and content releases to identify opportunities and inform programming strategies.
  • Screen series and movies across the Versant portfolio.
  • Attend and cover cross-departmental meetings, providing key updates and action items to the Programming team.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing presentation materials, taking notes, and distributing meeting recaps.
  • Help the team leverage new technologies and workflow tools to improve efficiency.
  • Support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in entertainment, media, streaming, digital media, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for television, movies, and entertainment.
  • Awareness of the evolving television and streaming landscape, including traditional networks and platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and FAST services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

  • Passion for the evolving media landscape across linear, streaming, AVOD, FAST, and digital platforms.

  • Familiarity with audience measurement and analytics platforms (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, YouTube Analytics) is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to improve research, organization, and workflow efficiency is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Must be willing to work in the New York, NY office.

  • Salary range: $24/hr - $28/hr
