Job Description
Versant is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader to serve as Director, Enterprise Transformation Strategy & Operations within the Enterprise Transformation Office. This role will serve as a trusted partner across the ETO, helping lead the internal team and operating structure required to advance the company’s highest-priority initiatives with clarity, discipline, and accountability.
This leader will help translate enterprise priorities into coordinated plans, effective governance, clear decision-making, and measurable outcomes. The role will oversee the team and capabilities that support enterprise transformation execution, including transformation operations, value realization, enterprise AI operating strategy, and transformation enablement and readiness. Success in the role will require strong judgment, executive communication, cross-functional influence, and the ability to connect strategy to execution across a complex environment.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, operating model leadership, governance design, and hands-on execution. This person will play a key role in strengthening how Versant manages enterprise change internally and in building a more durable transformation capability over time.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the day-to-day operating model of the Enterprise Transformation Office and the internal team that supports strategy, governance, execution, value realization, and organizational readiness.
- Manage and develop the team responsible for transformation operations, value realization, enterprise AI operating strategy, and transformation enablement and readiness.
- Establish clear priorities, roles, operating rhythms, and accountability across the team to ensure coordinated execution and leadership visibility.
- Build internal capabilities that strengthen execution over time and reduce dependence on external partners where appropriate.
- Serve as a trusted partner to the VP and a senior integrator across the portfolio, helping connect the work to enterprise priorities and business outcomes.
Transformation Strategy, Prioritization & Governance
- Help shape enterprise transformation strategy by translating leadership priorities into practical execution paths, sequencing, and decision points.
- Lead roadmap development, initiative prioritization, and governance design across major enterprise initiatives.
- Establish and run program forums, executive cadences, decision-making processes, and reporting structures that support disciplined execution.
- Provide leaders with a clear, enterprise-level view of progress, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and decisions required.
- Ensure initiatives are managed with the rigor needed to move from strategic ambition to executable plans and sustainable outcomes.
Cross-Functional Execution & Leadership Support
- Partner across business, technology, finance, HR, communications, vendor, and delivery teams to support integrated execution.
- Align scope, priorities, timing, accountability, and escalation paths across interconnected workstreams.
- Synthesize complex information into clear recommendations, options, and tradeoffs to support faster and better leadership decisions.
- Reduce ambiguity and friction by clarifying ownership, surfacing risks early, and helping teams resolve issues quickly.
- Represent the work credibly in program forums and leadership discussions, helping advance alignment and follow-through across the portfolio
Value, Adoption & Sustainable Outcomes
- Oversee the integration of execution discipline, value realization, and organizational readiness across the portfolio.
- Ensure initiatives are aligned to business priorities, expected outcomes, and operational goals, not just milestone completion.
- Reinforce a disciplined approach to stakeholder alignment, adoption, and change follow-through so major initiatives land effectively across the organization.
- Guide the integration of process, operating model, AI, and organizational change considerations into a cohesive enterprise approach.
- Help build a durable, outcome-oriented capability that strengthens how Versant executes change over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Operations, Strategy, Program Management, Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise transformation, strategic operations, program leadership, operating model design, or related roles.
- 3+ years of leadership experience, including direct people leadership and/or matrix leadership across complex cross-functional environments.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale, highly visible initiatives involving multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build governance structures, drive cross-functional execution, and support executive decision-making in dynamic environments.
- Strong executive presence with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive accountability, and lead through ambiguity without relying solely on direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or supporting a transformation office, strategic execution team, or enterprise change function.
- Experience overseeing multidisciplinary capabilities, including program execution, value realization, change management, or AI-related operating initiatives.
- Experience supporting operating model change, enterprise modernization, or large-scale delivery models.
- Experience in media, entertainment, broadcast, or technology environments.
